Fashionable pads? Will this make me enjoy that time of the month more?

Blogs are buzzing about the new U by Kotex design challenge hosted by famed Sex & the City costume designer Patricia Field.  Declaring that they want to “ban the bland,” Kotex is encouraging women everywhere to design their own maxi pads.  And while some may find this uneccessary and distasteful, others find the idea empowering, as it offers an opportunity to diminish the stigma associated with feminine products.
